At the Farmers Market today the Sarasota Jazz Project played. They are so good and I just love the Big Band sound. Several are local school music teachers and others are retired professionals.

Chalk Festival 2012
Just amazing is all I have to say about the Chalk Festival held every year in the Burns Court area of Sarasota. It has grown yearly and now brings internationally known chalk artists. This years theme is "Circus" aptly named as Sarasota is the home of the Ringling Brothers Museum and the famous Nik Wallenda of walking across Niagara Falls fame this past summer.
